ABOUT THE 2019 BRIDGESTONE NHL WINTER CLASSIC®

What is the Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic®?
The Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic® is an annual event held by the National Hockey League featuring two teams playing an outdoor game.

When will the 2019 Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic® Game be played?
The 2019 Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic® will feature the Chicago Blackhawks® and Boston Bruins® outdoors on Jan. 1, 2019, 1 p.m. ET at Notre Dame Stadium.

Bag Policy
The policy allows for only clear plastic, vinyl or PVC bags that do not exceed 12″ X 6″ X 12″ in size. Clear bags may have a logo on one side so long as said logo does not exceed 4″ X 3.4″

Small clutch bags with or without a handle or strap or wallets that do not exceed 4.5″ X 6.5,” or approximately the size of a hand, are allowable and do not need to be clear plastic.

One-gallon clear plastic zip bags (such as Ziploc or Hefty bags) are also allowable. Exceptions will be made for approved medical bags or equipment, which will be inspected at designated gates.

Prohibited bags include, but are not limited to, purses larger than a clutch bag, coolers, briefcases, backpacks, fanny packs, drawstring/cinch sack bags, luggage of any kind, computer bags, camera bags, binocular cases, diaper bags, grocery bags, and bags larger than the permissible size. Items in such bags – including diapers, wipes and other supplies for babies and small children – should be placed in an approved clear bag.

Prohibited Items

  • Weapons of any kind
  • Aerosol cans
  • Amplified Sound-Speakers that stand alone, are excessively loud or are connected to an amplifier (for tailgating)
  • Bags, includes, but not limited to, purses larger than a clutch bag, coolers, briefcases, backpacks, fanny packs, drawstring/cinch sack bags, luggage of any kind, computer bags, camera bags, binocular cases, diaper bags, grocery bags, and bags larger than the permissible size noted in the clear bag policy
  • Bottles (Glass or Plastic)
  • Cameras with a lens that extends more than six inches (except by credentialed media) (without cases, must adhere to “clear bag policy”)
  • Cans or glass bottles
  • Chains (for tailgating)
  • Charcoal grills (for tailgating)
  • Clothing containing vulgar language
  • Coolers or large containers
  • Deep Fryers (for tailgating)
  • Drones or unmanned Aerial Systems
  • Fireworks or explosives
  • Food or Beverage
  • GoPro or Selfie Sticks
  • Hanging Banners/Signs/Sticks
  • Illegal Substances
  • Laser pens or Laser products of any type
  • Noise makers
  • Strollers
  • Professional sounds/and or video recording devices
  • Propane Cylinders larger than 20 lbs. (for tailgating)
  • Smoking, tobacco, or e-cigarettes (St. Joseph County ordinance)
  • Stadium chairs or seat backs (Unless medical reason with documentation)
  • Stakes (for tailgating)
  • Strollers
  • Umbrellas
  • Any item deemed by management to be dangerous or inappropriate

Do I need to prepare for anything before my assigned time slot?
Yes. You should ensure you have your password and know how to log in.

What if I forgot my password?
If you do not know your password, contact the Chicago Blackhawks ticket department at 312-455-7090.

Can I purchase tickets over the phone?
No. Tickets must be purchased online during your time slot.

Can I resell my tickets via NHL Ticket Exchange?
Yes, you can resell your tickets via your Ticketmaster account.

Can I forward my tickets?
Yes, you can forward your tickets via your Ticketmaster account.

Please note that if you select the commemorative ticket option and forward your tickets via Ticket Exchange, the barcode on the commemorative tickets will no longer be valid.

If I forward my tickets, will I still get hard tickets?
Yes, if you forward your tickets you will still receive the commemorative tickets post event. However, the barcodes on the commemorative tickets will no longer be valid.

What happens if I miss my purchase opportunity?
If you miss your purchase opportunity through the Chicago Blackhawks, you will forfeit your ability to purchase NHL Winter Classic® tickets in advance of the general public sale.

Will parking be available?
Information regarding parking availability will be released later.

Do children under the age of 2 need a ticket to the 2019 Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic®?
Children that are under 36 inches in height may enter without a ticket, but must sit on a lap of an accompanying adult for the 2019 Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic®.

If I purchase tickets, when will I receive my tickets?
Ticket package(s) will be shipped beginning the first week of December for consumers who select a commemorative ticket.
